BuzzStop Espresso Bar, 37 Main Street, Samford, QLD, Ph:0732895555

Date of Review: 24 November 2012

If you're looking for a chil cafe to hang out at, then BuzzStop Espresso Bar is a great find. Located in beautiful Samford, this quirky cafe shares space with its neighbour, Yaya Bar and Eatery. A mix of retro, laid-back decor spills out onto the street, along with the irresistable smell of freshly ground coffee beans, unwittingly enticing customers inside.

Atmosphere: 5/5

With coffee smelling that good, having one was not an option. When my signature skinny latte arrived, that liquid gold sailed smoothly down and restored the onset of a coffee addict's headache. Competing for equal attention was the gluten free orange and almond cake . Now before you start reminding me of one of my most recent Weekly Whinge - I will admit - I made a last minute exception to try the gluten free orange and almond cake just this time. I mean look at the photo! How could you not?!

The cake was moist and amazingly light in texture. Plus the presentation was exquisite and that cream on the side (whatever it was) was to die for. I'll let you take a closer look.

Food: 20/20

The service here was wonderful. Friendly staff who were more than willing to stop and have a chat, as well as cater to our culinary and coffee needs, mean I will definitely be back. The only thing that could have been better would be colder table water on such a hot day. Talking is hard work!

Staff: 9/10

Both the coffee and cake were very reasonably priced ($4.50 for a cake if I remember correctly), which makes it an affordable afternoon tea date.

Value: 10/10

The place was clean and tidy - although admittedly I did not take a good look - I was too busy eating.

Cleanliness: 5/5

TOTAL SCORE: 49/50 or 98%
