Dining at the Oscar's

Most people watch the Oscars for the fashion, the stars and the glamour. I do too, but I think some of the real beauty at the Oscars doesn't sit with the stars, but rather with the amazing gluten free food which is served at the Governor's Ball.

In case you're wondering, the Governor's Ball is held immediately after the Oscars Award ceremony and those lucky enough to get an invite will be treated to the most amazing food in showbiz. World renowed Austrian born chef, Wolfgang Puck, has been serving food at this event for the past 18 years. You would think that it would be daunting trying to come up with a new menu every year that exceeds expectations of the most well-known Hollywood stars. But this year, Wolfgang is going tapas style, instead of your traditional sit-down menu. This enables guests to mingle more freely and to choose exactly what they wish to eat.

The 1600 guests will be treated to 15,000 small plates created by a team of 350 chefs and served by 650 waiters and bartenders. If those numbers aren't staggering enough, wait until you see the menu.

Gluten free dishes that celebs will be enjoying include: Crab Louis; Crisp Potato Galette; Yellow Finnish Potato With Creme Fraiche; Marinated Artichoke Salad; and Kale Salad, Grilled Artichoke, Lemon Vinaigrette. To catch a glimpse of these culinary delights see the photo montage at http://www.wolfgangpuck.com/catering-events/oscars-events

If I had to choose only one of these, it would be the Kale Salad, Grilled Artichoke, Lemon Vinaigrette. Kale is a superfood and super tasty. Stay tuned for my new Oscars-inspired kale salad recipe - coming soon!

So tell me fellow foodie, which of the above gluten free dishes would you pick to eat at the Oscars and why?
